Fair Trade Policy

TURKISH TEA COMPANY FAIR TRADE POLICY
(2025/01)

As Turkish Tea Company, we believe that economic activities should be conducted fairly. Within this framework, we prioritize establishing fair and transparent relationships with all our stakeholders, especially our consumers, producers, suppliers, distributors, and employees. Aware that our activities also impact the environment in which our stakeholders live, we consider nature as one of our stakeholders. In this regard, we view fair trade as a cornerstone of our corporate social responsibility.

The framework of our fair trade policy is built upon our obligations to prevent money laundering and the financing of terrorism, combat corruption, monitor sanctions, protect the environment, fight unfair competition, and prevent discrimination and harassment. In our approach to fair trade, we also take into account the ten principles declared by the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO).

Through fair trade, we aim to contribute to the establishment of justice in economic activities and to benefit all of humanity. We also believe that our fair trade policy will support regional development and help realize our vision of sustainability.

A. Our Measures for the Prevention of Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism:
To ensure that our products and services are not used for any illegal activities or financing, we screen all individuals we engage with according to pre-established standards. We do not enter into commercial relationships with individuals deemed risky according to our standards. We apply the same practice during the recruitment of our employees and when contributing to social responsibility projects.

B. Our Measures for Combating Corruption:
To ensure that our company is not involved, even unintentionally, in any acts or transactions that could be considered "corruption" under applicable laws, we continue to provide training to our employees. We also select our suppliers with the same level of care and sensitivity.

C. Our Measures for Monitoring Sanctions:
We monitor sanctions arising from national and international law. We do not conduct trade with countries under sanctions. We are diligent in identifying the ultimate beneficial owners of our products and services, as well as those who supply us with products or services.

D. Our Measures for Environmental Protection:
As Turkish Tea Company, we believe that ensuring healthy nutrition is essential to contributing to the well-being of future generations, and within this framework, we emphasize the importance of combating heavy metals and pesticides.

We prioritize setting goals to reduce our environmental impact and taking innovative steps by providing the necessary resources to achieve them. We plan to contribute to education and environmental conservation efforts in the Eastern Black Sea region, where our producers are located.

We provide training to raise environmental awareness among our employees. We aim to engage with producers and suppliers who commit to exercising the utmost care in environmental protection. Additionally, we strive to establish a culture of food safety among our stakeholders.

We carefully select the materials we procure to ensure that our tea packages are recyclable. Additionally, within the scope of our recycling goals, we offer a certain number of new tea packages as a gift in exchange for used tea packages.

E. Our Measures for Combating Unfair Competition:
We do not engage in relationships with our competitors, suppliers, or customers that could be considered collusive or that might limit market competition. In particular, we avoid commercial practices that could disrupt our customers' economic behavior and forms of competition that violate fairness toward our competitors.

F. Our Measures for Combating Discrimination and Preventing Harassment:
We provide our products and services to our customers without any discrimination based on nationality, religion, language, race, gender, disability status, age, or similar factors. We offer training to ensure that our employees do not experience harassment or bullying in the workplace or anywhere related to their work, and we monitor the work environment to ensure such behaviors are absent. During the management of recruitment, termination, and job transfer processes, we do not discriminate among our employees based on nationality, religion, language, race, gender, disability status, age, or similar factors.
